A legacy of sound, engineering, and innovation
Founded in 2008
Slate Digital was co-founded in 2008 by Steven Slate and Fabrice Gabriel with a mission to create outstanding digital audio tools for producers, mixers, and engineers.
Fabrice’s background as an engineer, including his study of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) in Grenoble (France), helped establish the technical foundation behind the company. Paired with Steven’s creative vision, it shaped the brand’s identity: analog-inspired sound, bold product ideas, and deep DSP expertise.
Joined Audiotonix in 2022
In 2022, Slate Digital joined Audiotonix, one of the world’s leading professional audio technology groups.
For Slate Digital, this marked a new chapter: more resources for research and development, stronger long-term support, and deeper collaboration with world-class audio engineering teams across the Audiotonix group.
Slate Digital today
Slate Digital continues to develop its own creative identity, product vision, and sound, while benefiting from the scale, stability, and technical expertise of a global pro audio family.
For creators, it means a simple promise: Slate Digital is here to keep building, improving, and supporting tools for the future of music production.
