FG-X 2
FG-Comp is a fully-transparent compressor dedicated to mixbus or mastering duties. Whether you want to strengthen the dynamics of the mix, have a more compact sound, add some glue, or control the dynamics of your signal before entering the limiter, the FG-Comp is ready for anything.
The Metering section allows you to visualize your signal in different ways. Use the extremely accurate Timegraph, Histogram, and vertical meters to dial in your master with ease. Additionally, there are three toggleable meters, indicators, needle meters, and horizontal meters, that allow you to visualize your signal based on your preference.
The FG-Level is an intelligent processor that mixes saturation and limiting, allowing you to maximize loudness while preserving the energy and impact of the original sound. The gain knob is all you need to use to get incredibly loud and punchy masters.
From extremely clear and transparent all the way to Loud, Aggressive and Colorful, these modes offer four different limiting styles in one convenient place.
In Advanced View, M/S Link, GR Width, and Sidechain Filters provide even more control when dialing in your dynamics with FG-Comp.
Use the target icon to set target ranges of your metering section to easily visualize if you are within your loudness parameters. Green means your in the right range, red means overshooting.
Get Punchier low end transients and snappier high end transients using the LoPunch and Detail knobs. Dial in the filters to target exactly where you want to enhance your transients.
Get unprecedented control over your limiter using the Transients, Drive, and Balance knobs. Pump the drive to achieve more aggressive and reactive limiting, Dial in the transients knob to solve distortion issues or to punch up your transients. Use the balance knob to determine what frequency range to prioritize in the limiting stage.
